“And thus it came to pass that the Silmarils found their long homes: one in the airs of heaven, and one in the fires of the world, and one in the deep waters.” - The Silmarillion, Chapter: Of the Voyage of Eärendil, J.R.R. Tolkien
Happy Silmarillion Sunday!
I can’t believe we’ve finally come to the end of The Silmarillion. But we’re not done yet! Next week, we’ll be discussing The Akallabêth and Of the Rings of Power and the Third Age. This week, however, we’re focusing on the final chapters in the Quenta Silmarillion.

Thank you for being here and walking through this book with me. I do not take your presence for granted.
In these last chapters we journey through adventures involving loyalty, betrayal, cursed dragons, romance, loss, the fall of entire kingdoms and, in the end, victory over great evil through the sacrifice of a few.
Let’s get into it.
