Hello and welcome to Many Meetings, the heart of Tolkien-dom on Substack. I’m Breanne, a new-ish substacker, but a life long Tolkien fan. This space is one I’ve created to welcome others into these beautiful stories, sometimes on walks with my dog and sometimes in a quiet corner of your inbox.   
Many Meetings is where I host my yearly read-through of The Lord of the Rings every September. Currently, we’re finishing up our read-through The Hobbit here in this little community with lots more Tolkien explorations planned in the next few months. You’re welcome to come along anytime if you like!

This is the last post in our series together on The Hobbit! I hope you’ve enjoyed our time exploring this beloved story here on Many Meetings and stick around because I’ve got exciting plans for this Tolkien substack (including our biggest event of the year: the annual read-through of The Lord of the Rings). Stay tuned!

But for now, let’s take one last walK—for this year anyway—through The Hobbit. Here we’ll explore The Battle of the Five Armies, the death of Thorin Oakenshield and our dear Bilbo finally making it back to the place he loves most: his home in The Shire. 

Let’s get into it.
