Late to the party here! I’m Katie from southern MO! I’ve read The Hobbit only once before, but have seen the movie several times. I was blown away by the differences in the book vs the movie!! For this read through I will be listening to an audiobook narrated by Andy Serkis. I am so excited for this community and seeing where the adventure takes us!

Believe it or not, this is my very first time reading The Hobbit! I consider myself a Tolkien fan but really have only read the LOTR books a few times. I’m reading from Portland, Oregon. This book already reads so different from the LOTR but I’m here to celebrate that and already have several questions and thoughts. Excited to be a part of this adventure!

I'm from the midwest in the US, The City St. Louis to be exact. I've loved reading these books for my whole life. I read time Hobbit for the first time in 4th grade. I was in for an unexpected journey from that moment on. The LOTR Trilogy changed my love of reading every time I read them....it made that line blossom beyond imagining. I read the books, read on my Kindle, and listen to the audio books every day, while I work. These stories give me such joy. Rob Inglis is the genius narrator who mage me love audible books. His voice is magic. I'm so excited to go on this women lead journey.

Hey, David from Georgia again. I first read the Hobbit in the mid sixties when LOTR Fandom exploded all over. (Yes, I still have a 'Frodo Lives' button.) Literally cannot tell the number of re-reads; gotta be in the 40s.

I have been stuck in Fangorn Forest for about 3 weeks with a LOTR read. So this might be a good way to break that stall.

I enjoyed last year's LOTR reread and I'm looking to the notes and insights I'll read this time.

Hi. I’m Angel a life long Tolkien fan. This will be my second time reading The Hobbit. I have read Lord of The Rings through twice. I have been wanting to reread The Hobbit because I follow you on TikTok and it’s really got my Tolkien interest peaked. This is going to be fun!

Good afternoon Big People (me included) or is it my hobbitists? Al from the Pacific Northwest here. This will be my third or fourth read but the last was a distant past memory of 20 or so years. I’m looking forward to this read and hoping to use it as a jumping point for going through the rest of Tokens works! I may need to get the old Churchwarden pipe (long Pipe similar to what the hobbits use) out.
